Choose a Word Pack
Open Menu and select the vocabulary collection you want to work with.
Select the words you want to learn
Tick or untick individual words. Changes save immediately.
Preview a word
Tap the eye beside a word to see its revealed flashcard and manage custom-list membership.
Choose a learning mode
Start Learn Words, Match Words or Play Words using your current selection.
Choose your practice time
For Learn Words and Match Words, set a timed session or choose no time limit.
Learn Words
Tap a flashcard to reveal the answer. Swipe right for Got It or left for Still Learning. Timed sessions record how many cards you reviewed in each category.
Match Words
Match Japanese tiles with their English equivalents. The active tile is highlighted, correct pairs turn green and incorrect attempts are counted for session results.
Play Words
Use listening mode to hear your selected vocabulary repeatedly. It is designed for recognition and repetition rather than scoring.
Favourites
Star useful words and practise them together as their own smart word pack.
Custom packs
Create a named pack from selected vocabulary, then add or remove individual words later using the card preview.
Leaving a session
Opening Menu ends the current learning session. Closing Menu returns to Home, so an old session is never left waiting underneath the menu.
